FashionValet is a decade old this year, and they’re celebrating this momentous occasion by giving back to the community!
In conjunction with FashionValet’s 10th anniversary, the brand will be donating RM100,000 to the IMAM Response & Relief Team (IMARET) fund. This charitable donation will be done on behalf of its employees in order to join the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
In the time leading up to the brand’s 10 anniversary, FashionValet has championed multiple crowdsourcing initiatives. During Ramadan this year, FashionValet hosted the online FVBazaar, where they successfully connected over 5,000 local food sellers and customers. All orders were made directly between the vendors and customers, while FashionValet simply acted as a listing site with no commission charged to the vendors.
FashionValet also encouraged entrepreneurship by sponsoring a RM100,000 cash prize in the Gen F reality TV show. This show was aimed at uplifting budding fashion designers by collaborating with MyCreative for a ‘Fashion Pitch’ competition, where qualified participants were able to apply for business loans up to RM2 million with MyCreative.
“When we first started 10 years ago, we had to do everything ourselves. From stock takes, to photoshoots, to packing the items, managing customer service and running a business! We had a very small team back then, of only 3 people, and today I am proud to share that we have over 180 employees who have been a central part in the company’s growth,” stated the co-founder of FashionValet, Vivy Yusof.
“We will be actively deploying sustainability measures across all our operations, and into the products and packaging that we offer,” explained the 32-year-old entrepreneur. “For example, our dUCk purple boxes are made from 100% recyclable material and printed with soy-based ink and we have a purple postbox at our KLCC store to encourage customers to recycle their boxes.”
“We are also currently working towards making all our FV boxes with recyclable materials. The poly mailer we use are biodegradable as well as our tissue papers,” added Vivy.
In conjunction with its 10th anniversary, the modest fashion brand offers a limited-edition tote bag and notebook, available for purchase on the store’s website.
FashionValet also introduces a character named “Farah”, a household name that symbolises your everyday modest woman. “Find Farah”, a virtual treasure hunt, will be held until the 26th of November, where 10 lucky participants from each day will get a 15% discount code, valid for a period of 6 months with no minimum purchase.
Follow these simple steps to join the “Find Farah” virtual treasure hunt:
Step 1: Go through the pages on FV’s website or app.
Step 2: Find Farah and screenshot her.
