First Nikon Indonesia, now Nikon Malaysia?
The company took to its website and social media platforms to officially announce that it will officially cease operations by the start of next year.
The statement reads:
“We are grateful for our passionate community’s support and loyalty through the years with us, and it has been a pleasure serving both the Imaging and Industrial Metrology fields in Malaysia.
From 1st January 2021, Futuromic Photo AV Sdn. Bhd. will be our appointed authorised distributor for the Imaging business to serve Nikon’s marketing, sales and after-sales service for its products and activities in Malaysia. QES (Asia Pacific) Sdn. Bhd. will continue to be our authorised distributor for the Industrial Metrology business.
With the above-mentioned, we also hereby announce that Nikon (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. will cease its operations effective as of 1st January 2021 and its final operation day will be 31st December 2020.”
Nikon Malaysia also added that local partner Futuromic Photo AV Sdn Bhd will be handling Nikon’s marketing, sales and after-sales service for its products and activities in Malaysia. Meanwhile, QES (Asia Pacific) Sdn Bhd will be taking over its Industrial Metrology business in the country.
