For the past few weeks, the increasing amount of Covid-19 cases have been maintained at 3 digits. As such, the government is considering implementing a stricter Conditional Movement Control Order (MCO) in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, and Putrajaya.
Is it really necessary? Probably so, with new cases reported at more hotspots, offices and residences around Klang Valley yesterday.
1. Menara Great Eastern
To curb the confusion from getting out of hand, Great Eastern Mall released a statement on its Facebook, informing the public that the Covid-19 case happened in an adjoining office tower and not in Great Eastern Mall. “Please rest assured that we have carried out a thorough sanitisation in the buildings and will continue to adhere to MOH requirements,” the statement added.
2. H20 Residences, Ara Damansara
A resident at H20 Residences in Ara Damansara, Petaling Jaya tested positive for Covid-19.
The resident was a close contact of another patient under investigation, who was staying in the same unit.

A resident staying at Block C of H20 Residences in Ara Damansara is believed to have contracted Covid-19 from another patient staying in the same unit. Both patients are currently receiving treatment.
“The said resident was under quarantine and sharing the same unit with the first patient and had not utilised any facilities, ” the condominium’s management office said. “Residents are reminded to adhere to the conditional movement control order (MCO) guidelines.”
3. PV13 Platinum Lake, Setapak
Residents living in PV13 Platinum Lake were informed that someone living in Block A, level 5, had tested positive for Covid-19 after receiving a swab test during the weekend. It is also understood that the tenant is local and works at Great Eastern Mall in Jalan Ampang. However, we’re not sure if it’s connected to the case at Menara Great Eastern.
Too much of a coincidence?
4. Aurora Residence, Puchong
Folks living at Aurora Residence were notified by the management that a tenant living at Block B, level 25, is seeking treatment at a government hospital after contracting the virus. Disinfection process was carried out by in-house workers on Sunday night (11pm).
In addition to the aforementioned, MalaysiaKini also confirmed that these places were affected by Covid-19 cases:
