A private party held at a luxury bungalow in Batu Feringghi, which saw the attendance of more than 30 people, came to a halt after police raided the premise.
What’s more, the party-goers had rubbed salt into their own wounds, when the police found drugs and illegal substances during the raid.
It was reported that over 30 men and 5 women were arrested by the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) during the bust at 11:30pm. The incident was shared by the Penang Kini Ori Facebook page on their profile recently.
The post stated, “The raid started at 11:30 pm as a result of (police) intelligence and public information of the group who made the bungalow a party venue.” It was also mentioned that the party included drug abuse following “the discovery of a number of illegal substances (in the premise).”
According to the post, it is believed that the group had rented the bungalow as night clubs are not allowed to operate in the country due to Covid-19. Yikes, with the number of cases rising in Malaysia, the last thing everyone should think about is partying their health away.
As of 14th October, the state of Penang has recorded 17 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the number to a total of 353 confirmed cases.
