Kinrara assemblyman Ng Sze Han has cleared things up regarding the “Bah Puchong” cluster to dismiss Covid-19 fears in the township.
He assured everyone in his Facebook post that the cluster doesn’t mean that Puchong is at risk of entering the red zone.

The Selangor rep explained that the “Bah Puchong” cluster involved an individual residing in Puchong who had recently returned from Sabah, hence the name. Not soon after, relatives of the individual contracted the virus while visiting him all the way from Perak.
“He was on home quarantine, but his relatives in Perak visited him and stayed with him and they too became positive. All positives are now hospitalised and all his contacts have been screened,” the Selangor exco stated in the Facebook post.
As per FMT, Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah confirmed that the cluster traced back to individuals from Petaling in Selangor and two districts in Perak (Kinta & Larut-Matang-Selama). The first three identified cases were from individuals returning from Sabah, with the trio admitted to Sungai Buloh Hospital.
Close contact screenings from the cluster have detected two more individuals in the Perak districts to be tested positive for the virus. Both of them have been admitted to Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun in Ipoh.

For the time being, 39 individuals in the “Bah Puchong” cluster have been screened, with 34 of them awaiting their test results. In other news, Klang & 3 other districts will be under CMCO starting today (9th October 2020).
