A new Covid-19 case has been reported at Setia City Mall. The person in question was a gym member from Fitness First.
The Shah Alam shopping mall released a statement just moments ago, both the mall and gym centre have taken swift action in carrying out diligent cleaning and disinfection procedures.
“Our valued shoppers and friends, please be assured that we are in close contact with the Ministry of Health (MOH) and other relevant authorities and will keep you informed of any updates,” the management from Setia City Mall wrote.
The management added, “Please continue to remain vigilant, adopt good personal hygiene practices and precautionary measures in line with the guidance issued by the MOH to members of the public.”
Fitness First Malaysia also released a few details regarding the gym member’s diagnosis:
- 2nd October 2020 (last Friday, 8pm) – The last visit from said gym member (who did not display any symptoms at the time).
- 7th October 2020 (Wednesday) – The individual tested positive for Covid-19.
Having said that, operations for the Fitness First outlet in Setia City Mall will resume tomorrow (Friday, 9th October).
