In light of new Covid-19 cases from 1 Utama Shopping Centre and NSTP, Paradigm Mall is also making headlines after someone there tested positive for the virus.
Padini Holdings Berhad officially confirmed that a worker at Brands Outlet in Petaling Jaya’s Paradigm Mall is down with Covid-19.

The Brands Outlet located at Lot CF05 & CF07, Concourse, Paradigm Mall, is currently closed “to mitigate the risk of infection” as well as to make way for “a thorough sanitisation and deep cleaning process“. All Brands Outlet staff at the mall have been instructed to take a mandatory 2-week self-isolation as a precautionary measure.
The company also shed light on the situation, explaining that the aforementioned staff likely contracted Covid-19 from his roommate (who – you guessed it – recently returned from Sabah). He reported to work last Friday and was on duty from 9:30am till 6:30pm. However, he did not show any symptoms nor was his temperature above 37.5.
Malaysia has now recorded the highest increase with 432 new Covid-19 cases today (Monday, 5th October). Most of the cases come from Sabah with 130 new cases, while Kedah recorded 241 new cases.
It looks like the situation in Malaysia is going to get worse before it gets better.
