It’s almost the end of the year, and one occasion that many are looking forward to is the Diwali Festival that will take place on the 14th of November. Thankfully, The Chicken Rice Shop knows our cravings and released their Deepavali menu early.
This Deepavali, The Chicken Rice Shop is “Lighting It Up Early” with a menu that features an exclusive dish named Flaming Koli. This chicken dish aims to replicate the rich and flavourful tastes of the Indian cuisine, and is available from now till 15th November 2020. Of course, we had to indulge in an early taste of Deepavali ourselves, and here’s what we thought of this seasonal menu:
Inspired by the delicious flavours and scintillating aromas found in Indian cuisine, the Flaming Koli chicken dish is made with a touch of Indian spices blended together to create a Deepavali celebration in your mouth.
This dish offers a burst of spiciness along with a welcoming touch of sweetness, ensuring that the combination of flavours are just right for a tasty meal. With soft chicken meat covered in a thick and flavourful sauce, the Flaming Koli offers consistent textures and rich flavours that are worth a try.
The Flaming Koli can be enjoyed in three different set meal packages, which are currently included in The Chicken Rice Shop’s Deepavali menu. The set meals can also be paired with an add on drink of your choice, priced at RM4.50 per cup. These meals can cater to either 1 pax, 2 pax or 4 pax. While the Flaming Koli aims to replicate flavours from the Indian cuisine, it was also the only dish from the entire set meal that somewhat gave us a fairly authentic taste of Deepavali.
However, the Flaming Koli alone was something new and flavourful and we would recommend ordering it Ala Cate, priced at RM16.90 for two pieces.
The Chicken Rice Shop’s Flaming Koli is a tasty option for enjoying a Deepavali celebration with your loved ones. If you decide to go in for a taste of this spicy and flavourful dish, do let us know which meal plan you opted for and what your thoughts are!
