The finale of Miss Universe Malaysia 2020 has just closed its curtains a few moments ago.

During the e-Gala event that was broadcasted live from Damansara, Petaling Jaya, 25-year-old Francisca Luhong took home the glory as the official winner of the pageant.

The Kuching-born bombshell defeated 17 other hopefuls across Malaysia, and will be representing the country in the upcoming Miss Universe competition. The event saw the competing girls go through several rounds of evaluation, including evening gown, swimwear and Q&A.

For those interested, the panel of judges in charge of evaluating the contestants were Dato’ Hans Isaac, Miss Universe Malaysia 2011 Deborah Henry and fashion designer Carven Ong. Other juries include Glojas Smart International Aesthetic CEO Datin Selwinder Kaur, medical director of La Jung Aesthetic Clinic Dr. Nicholas Lim, executive director of Esthetics International Group Berhad (EIG) Janet Chieng and celebrity hairstylist Shawn Loong.

Apart from Francisca, the full results of the finale are as follows:

  • First runner-up: Charissa Chong
  • Second runner-up: Serene Chai
  • Third runner-up: Neha Varma
