Can you believe that it’s been 50 years since Doraemon was created by Fujiko Fujio (manga duo Hiroshi Fujimoto and Motoo Abiko)?
In the span of 5 decades, the iconic blue robot cat has become a cultural phenomenon worldwide. As someone pointed out, the franchise can appeal to different markets – “You’ve got the kid market of generating new narratives, new interests and you’ve got the adult nostalgia market.”

In celebration of this occasion, the Doraemon franchise has set up a pop-up store right in the heart of the city on Ground Central (G-16B) at Berjaya Times Square Kuala Lumpur. It debuted earlier this week and will remain here till 21st Sept 2020.
It’s pure Doraemon haven with plenty of awesome collectibles up for grabs. Items include toys, stationery, apparel, mugs, bottles, notebooks and more. Psst, there’re even yellow Doraemon toys for sale!

Have fun shopping 😉
