Do you fancy sambal on your ice-cream? While this isn’t something new, perhaps you’d like to taste the famous famous Pak Nasser’s nasi lemak from Santan.
In celebration of Merdeka and Malaysia Day, Santan has joined forces with local ice-cream artisan, Crème De La Crème (CDLC) to introduce 2 unique ice-cream flavours.
For a limited time only, foodies will get to enjoy Pak Nasser’s Nasi Lemak ice-cream and Pandan Dodol ice-cream. According to a press release, the Nasi Lemak ice-cream “seeks to replicate the signature taste profile of Santan’s famous Pak Nasser’s Nasi Lemak sambal by using the same chilli paste, swirled into a luxurious, creamy coconut-based ice-cream topped with crunchy ikan bilis and peanuts“.
The Pandan Dodol ice-cream brings a sense of nostalgia with its traditional dodol creamy coconut ice-cream. “While these flavours need no introduction in the local market, our collaboration with CDLC promises a unique and flavoursome experience with 100% all-natural fresh ingredients,” said Catherine Goh, General Manager of Santan.
“We are delighted to be partnering Santan as we are fans of their iconic Pak Nasser’s Nasi Lemak. Having shaken up the ice-cream world by revolutionising the concept and taste of ice cream, we have found the perfect partner in Santan to once again – recapture the imagination of ice-cream in celebration of Merdeka and of course, Santan’s 5th anniversary. We cannot wait for all Malaysians to try our two very unique Malaysian flavours!” added Lio Lim, Managing Director of CDLC.
You can get the single-serve cup for only RM8.80 at the Santan Mid Valley and Sunway Pyramid outlets. Alternatively, these 2 flavours are available in scoops at Crème De La Crème’s Uptown Damansara and Mont Kiara outlets, starting 28th August 2020.
