The inquest proceedings on the death of Nora Quoirin will be screened live from the court complex starting Monday (24th August). As you may know, she went missing and was later found dead during a family holiday trip in Seremban last year.
The Chief Registrar’s Office Federal Court Putrajaya released a statement, saying that the public will be able to watch it via the Malaysian Judiciary official portal. The live broadcast will start at 9am.
As stated in the notice, the session will be held for 2 weeks, starting from 24th till 28th August, before resuming on the 1st to 4th September. A total of 64 witnesses will be called to testify and assist in the investigation.
Nora’s dead body was previously found near a stream in a hilly area, about 2.5km from her family’s Dusun resort in Seremban, Negri Sembilan. The autopsy reports stated that the special needs child’s death was not related to any crime. The police officials announced that she had died due to intestinal leakage, prolonged starvation and stress.
For those interested, the live session is also accessible via the Malaysian Judiciary’s official YouTube and Facebook pages. For more info, check out its official website here.
