Indonesian starlet Marsha Aruan caught fans’ attention after she uploaded photos and clips of her and her family going through baptism on her Instagram.
In the post, the 24-year-old was seen conducting the religious ritual inside a pool with a fellow Christian. Marsha wore a white dress for the occasion and appeared to be invested in the process.

As aforementioned, the “Dread Out” actress wasn’t alone at that time, as she underwent the ritual with her sister, Michelle Aruan and cousin, Stefanie Gabriell. Her mom was also there to witness the sacred moment.
“8th August 2020. This day was such a special day. I thank God that on this day I was born again and renewed in Jesus Christ,” wrote the actress. In the caption, Marsha also wrote that she will let go of her old self and become a new being according to God’s ways and plans.
However, her baptism ritual has in turn sparked several debates from the public. In responding to the claims, she wrote on Instagram Story, “For those who asked, ‘Why are you just getting baptised now?’ I believe, there will always be the right time for anything. I surrender and just follow God’s wishes. Maybe the right time, according to Him, is now.”
Word has it that the former lover of singer Ahmad Dhani’s son El Rumi had actually changed her religion. A lot of fans assumed she was born a Muslim. In this case, Marsha firmly insisted that she had never converted to other beliefs ever since she was born.
Hopefully Marsha’s explanation will clear the air regarding fans’ speculation.
