Congratulations are in order for M. Sugu and S. Pavithra. Despite only launching their YouTube channel “Sugu Pavithra” in January, their platform has only grown from strength to strength.

In celebration of hitting the 100k subscribers milestone, the couple was awarded with a Silver Play Button. They even uploaded an unboxing video to celebrate the happy occasion.

Titled “Unboxing Silver Play Button”, the 11:31 minute video showed Sugu and Pavithra throwing a mini party with Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), chocolates, and a large blue cake with the words “Silver Play Button Sugu Pavithra”.

In the clip, the stay-at-home mom acknowledged a few key individuals – including the woman who helped her kick start her YouTube career. “The first person I want to thank is Seri as she introduced YouTube to me and taught me how to make and upload videos on the platform,” Pavithra said.

Congratulations to Sugu & Pavi on being awarded the Sliver Play Button from YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki. A very impressive achievement for you and all your subscribers from around the globe though majority are the ever so supportive Malaysian fans from all races. Food brings people together. Love their tenacity and honesty. Keep going, Sugu and Pavithra. All of us will support you to get to 1 million subscribers. You both deserve the success,” Chrisanne Chin concurred. To date, the “Sugu Pavithra” channel already has 773k subscribers. They only need to hit 1 million to achieve the Gold Play Button.
