Nur Sajat received a ton of backlash by the internet community after she uploaded a number of racy photos and clips of herself wearing a bikini on Instagram last week.
Seemingly impacted by the immense criticism, Sajat took to her Instagram Story to vent out her disappointment. Surprisingly, she also questioned whether she should quit Islam in order to please all the haters out there.
The “Makhluk Penggoda” songstress wrote, “Muslims seem to hate people like me, claiming that I’m not worthy of adhering to my religion, and everyone wants to punish me based on my religion. Maybe they’d prefer if I quit (my Islamic teachings) so that they can receive pahala (reward). It’s really sad and disheartening for me to express this.”
Earlier, the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs), Datuk Dr. Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri called for the Federal Territory Islamic Religious Department (JAWI) to take proper action against transgender people in our country. This include providing them with necessary education in an effort to bring them back to normal, reported Berita Harian.
Do you agree with the minister’s approach in combating this social issue?
