In an effort to revitalise Malaysia’s economy, the government will be launching a few new initiatives under the new Pelan Jana Semula Ekonomi Negara (PENJANA).
One of them is the ePENJANA, which provides RM50 e-wallet credit to Malaysians aged 18 and above, with an annual income of less than RM100,000.
In addition, those eligible will also receive additional discount vouchers and cashback worth RM50 for physical transactions (e-commerce transactions are excluded). The program will take effect between July to September 2020. Although Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin didn’t provide details on the eWallet program, it’ll likely be Grab, Boost and Touch ‘n Go.
That’s not all, public commuters in the Klang Valley will get to enjoy a monthly Unlimited Public Transportation Pass for only RM30 per month. This implementation will take effect from 15th June onwards and carry on for the next 6 months.
