Datuk Lambak Mohamed, the founder of famed soy sauce brand Habhal’s Kipas Udang sadly departed from this world yesterday (Tuesday, 12th May).
As reported by Bernama, he passed away at his house in Larkin, Johor at 9:15 in the morning. He was 100 years old.
“The late Datuk Lambak has never shown any complications of disease. In fact, he was in good health condition before this,” granddaughter Amiza Abdul Aziz told the press. The funeral was held at the Kebun Teh Cemetery at 12:30pm. He leaves behind his wife, Datin Rogayah Jusoh, 94, and their 12 children.
For those who don’t know, the products released by his company, Zara Foodstuff Industries Sdn Bhd, has been around since 1987. Up until the present day, the products remain a popular choice for almost every household in Malaysia. One of them include everyone’s favourite Kicap Udang-branded soy sauce.
