Fan Bingbing (范冰冰) has been out of the public eye ever since she fell from grace following her 2018 tax evasion scandal.
Although the 38-year-old has reportedly been banned from appearing in Chinese TV and filming projects in China, the actress-model has been earning big bucks from her beauty products through online sales.

Fan Bingbing is well known for promoting her face masks from her beauty line, Fan Beauty, on Little Red Book (which is a Chinese social shopping platform). Last we heard, saleswoman successfully sold 110,000 face masks in less than 5 minutes, earning 10mil yuan (RM6.1mil).
Word on the street has it that the Chinese beauty can sometimes earn over 5mil yuan (RM3.05mil) per hour from her live stream auctions alone. That’s definitely more than her hourly wage from a regular movie project. In fact, many celebrities took the opportunity to boost online sales during the recent lockdown from the Covid-19 pandemic.

However, rumour has it that China might be tightening up their broadcast regulations (again). That means those selling their products via live streaming may restricted from doing so.
