This year’s Good Vibes Festival, which was supposed to take place from 14th – 16th August, has been called off.
The announcement was made today (Tuesday, 21st April) on its social media platforms, saying, “We are sad to announce that Good Vibes Festival will no longer be taking place this year. Stay safe everyone and see you in 2021.”
As mentioned by Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, even when the movement control order (MCO) is lifted, the government will probably introduced a “soft landing” approach. This means that large gatherings will still be prohibited and people are encourage to continue practising social distancing.
“Even after we have lifted the MCO, we will continue advising the people to stay at home if you do not need to go out of the house. That is the principle. We are definitely looking at an exit strategy. Perhaps when we start (the removal of MCO), it must be a soft landing,” our Health DG noted. This may even carry on till the end of the year.
While many of you might find this discouraging, the health and safety of everyone must take preference. Perhaps concert-goers can start saving up for next year’s concert tickets 😉
