Last week, the government made the decision to carry out precautionary measure where all Malaysians returning from abroad are to be quarantined for 2 weeks as soon as they get off the plane.
Due to limited venues, hotels as well as public and community halls have been momentarily converted to Covid-19 quarantine centres.
According to Places and Foods, the cost of accommodation and food is being paid by the government. The hotel rooms are in reasonably decent conditions with air cond, TV and WiFi service provided.
Throughout the 2-week quarantine period, 3 free meals will placed on the chair outside of each room at 7am, noon, and 7pm respectively. The social distancing rule prevents Malaysians from going outside of their hotel rooms to use leisure facilities like the gym or swimming pool. This isn’t a vacation after all.
