The veteran newscaster was visibly choked up as she recalled the 2 individuals that came up to her begging for food. Ever since the partial lockdown had been tighten up, volunteers haven’t been able to provide food for the unfortunate along the stretch from Chow Kit to Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman.

In the post, Ras Adiba wrote:

“When I did this recording earlier today, all NGOs were not allowed to distribute food as we have to abide by the movement control order (MCO). But our prayers were answered. Tomorrow onwards, we are able to send out ration and cooked food but with proper permission by the Welfare department. We need to gear up with mask, gloves, hand sanitizers and keep our distance with others. Praise the Almighty, Alhamdulillah we can now go down to help with the relevant security personnels.”
