It’s official guys, the movement control order (MCO) in Malaysia has officially been extended.
Originally intended to last till next Tuesday (31st March), the MCO has now been extended for another 2 weeks – till 14th April 2020. The announcement was made by our PM Muhyiddin Yassin just moments ago.

Earlier today, the Ministry Of Health reported another death, making it the 17th person to succumb to Covid-19. The person was a 66-year-old Malaysian who sought treatment at Hospital Pakar Sultanah Fatimah, Muar on 20th March 2020.
The victim had been on critical condition, requiring breathing support since 21st March. Unfortunately, the deceased couldn’t hold on any longer and passed away this morning at 4:10am.
Keadaan beliau kritikal semasa tiba di Jabatan Kecemasan dan seterusnya memerlukan bantuan pernafasan pada hari yang sama. Beliau disahkan positif COVID-19 pada 21 Mac 2020.
Kesihatan beliau merosot hari demi hari dan telah disahkan meninggal dunia pada 25 Mac 2020 jam 4.10am.

With the MCO news in mind, the partial closure at shopping malls will likely extend till 14th April. Gym centres, cinema outlets and other non-essential shops will probably remain close too.
