South Korean actor Moon Ji Yoon (문지윤) has sadly passed away on Wednesday (18th March). He was 36 years old.
According to an exclusive report by E Daily, the late star died due to acute septicemia (blood poisoning). The unfortunate news was confirmed by his agency, Family ENT.
On 16th March (Monday), it’s revealed that Ji Yoon was admitted to the hospital after complaining of sore throat. “His condition became much worse and he was moved to the intensive care unit, but suddenly fell into sepsis and lost consciousness,” a source from the entertainment label told Xportsnews.
The insider further continued, “I’ve worked with Moon Ji Yoon for a long time. He was a healthy man. He was someone who was very passionate and only thought about acting. It’s so heartbreaking that he left us too soon.”
Ji Yoon made his official Hallyu debut as an actor back in 2002. He appeared in tons of hit K-dramas, including “Sassy Girl Chun-hyang”, “Iljimae”, “Cheese in the Trap”, “Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo”, and “The Sound of Your Heart”.
It’s revealed that the funeral is set to be held at the Inje University Hospital, funeral parlour number 3. However, due to the concerns over the Covid-19 outbreak in the country, the family will conduct the ceremony in private.
