27 Shopping Malls Partially Open Or Temporarily Closed Until 14th April

Starting today (Wednesday, 18th March), the government has already implemented the restricted movement order, in light of the Covid-19 outbreak. In this case, locals are urged to stay at home until 14th April.

There has been immense concern among the public due to the increasing number of cases in our country. The case is apparent in terms of the panic buying commotion among Malaysians over the past few days.

In case you’re lacking of essential needs in your house, fret not because we’ve got you covered on the list of shopping malls that will remain partially open during this duration.

1. 1 Utama Shopping Centre

  • Status: Partially open
  • Marts, banks, telcos, convenience stores, medical services and the post office will remain open.
  • Food and beverage services will only open for takeaways and deliveries, no dine-ins allowed.

  • Status: Partially open
  • Supermarkets, pharmacies, and other necessary services will resume business as usual.
  • Other non-essential services as well as private companies will be closed temporarily.

3. Atria Shopping Gallery

  • Status: Partially open
  • Business hours changed from 10am to 8pm for now until further notice.

  • Status: Partially open
  • Banks, telcos, supermarkets, pharmacies, and convenience stores will remain open.

5. e@Curve & The Curve

  • All scheduled events to be held at The Curve’s Centre Court and eCurve’s Centre Atrium will also be cancelled.

6. Empire Shopping Gallery

  • Status: Partially open
  • Supermarket, pharmacies, convenience stores, and other essential services will remain open as usual.

7. Gurney Plaza Penang

  • Status: Partially open
  • The mall will “remain accessible to public in support of supermarkets, pharmacies, and other essential services operators.” (As stated in official statement)
  • Other non-essential and private business will be temporarily closed.

8. IKEA outlets

  • Status: Temporarily closed until further notice
  • Online business will be operating as usual. However, services will only restart once the authorities gives the green light.

9. IOI City Mall

  • Feel free to check out the list of tenants that will remain open as well as eateries that will be open for takeaways above.

10. IPC Shopping Centre

  • Status: Partially open
  • Supermarket, pharmacies and ATM machines will be operating as usual.
  • Other non-essential services and shops will be closed.

    • Private businesses will be closed temporarily.

  • Supermarkets, bakeries, pharmacies, optical stores, banks, and other essential services will remain open.
  • Selected F&B outlets will be open only for takeaways and deliveries.

  • Selected restaurants will only open for takeaways and deliveries via services such ass GrabFood and FoodPanda, no dine-ins are allowed.

  • Status: Partially open
  • All essential stores, including supermarkets and pharmacies, will remain operating.

  • Status: Partially open
  • Essential services like banks, supermarkets, convenience stores, and telecommunications will remain open.
  • Selected F&B outlets won’t allow dine-ins, but they’ll have deliveries and takeaways.

18. Plaza Low Yat

  • The official notice reads, “We will still be practising daily sanitisation and best hygiene practises throughout the mall. You may still order from some of our F&B tenants via food delivery apps.”
