JOOX listeners now have something extra to look forward music streaming platform.

Earlier this week, JOOX Originals was launched to showcase JOOX Malaysia’s commitment in supporting the local music scene. Over the past few years, JOOX found that Malaysians have been streaming English music the most, followed by Malay, Korean and Chinese songs.

There’s also been an increasing demand for local content as some of the top 10 most streamed songs on JOOX in Malaysia last year came from homegrown artists including Andi Bernadee, Azarra Band, Hafiz Suip and Naim Daniel. This is turn has open the door for JOOX Originals to curate for local music as part of its 2020 plan.

Rockstar Faizal Tahir is leading the first phase, having recently produced original songs for Queen of Ballads Dayang Nurfaizah, new R&B duo FML and Sophia Liana of famous girl group DeFam. Hopefully with the launch of JOOX Originals, it can be an empowering platform for Malaysian talent to thrive and gain recognition in the music industry.
