1 Utama Shopping Centre is squashing any rumours about Covid-19 before it gets out of hand.
In a press statement, the mall’s management said, “It has been brought to our attention that a social media post is being circulated to urge the public to avoid 1 Utama over an alleged COVID-19 case in the 1 First Avenue office tower as well as other unfounded accusations.”
The statement continues:
“We would like to publicly state and clarify that, to date, there has been NO confirmed Covid-19 case reported in 1 First Avenue and 1 Utama. Please continue visiting 1 Utama with your friends and family, shop and eat with a peace of mind.
We are extremely disappointed in the highly irresponsible actions of the poster to spread such a rumour and create anxiety and unnecessary panic for everyone during this challenging time.”
This month alone, several malls in the Klang Valley have come in contact with coronavirus positive individuals. The public is advised to be cautious at all times when going out.
