Future Projects: What’s Next For The Cast Of “Crash Landing On You”?

by Justin
February 21, 2020

Hyun Bin (현빈), Son Ye Jin (손예진), Kim Jung Hyun (김정현), Seo Ji Hye (서지혜) are probably one the most in-demand stars in South Korea right now.

Following the success of their record-breaking K-drama “Crash Landing On You” (사랑의 불시착) recently, it’s safe to assume that fans want more of them. Could we see some of the leads starring opposite each other again?

VAST Entertainment has just announced today (Friday, 21st February) that their artist Hyun Bin (real name Kim Tae-pyung) has sign on to star as the lead actor in the upcoming film “Bargaining” (literal translation). Veteran actor Hwang Jung Min will also be joining Hyun Bin on this project.

His agency revealed that the 37-year-old A-lister “will be showcasing a new kind of impressive acting that will be entirely different from his last project”. Directed by Im Soon Rye, “Bargaining” will centre on a kidnapping that takes place in the Middle East and the rescue mission to save the victims. Filming on location abroad is expected to take place soon.

Hyun Bin’s last films were 2018’s “The Negotiation” as Min Tae-goo and “Rampant” as Lee Chung.

Meanwhile, fans won’t have to wait long to see Seo Ji Hye back on the small screen. The 35-year-old actress will be taking on the lead role as Woo Do Hee in the melodrama, “Shall We Eat Dinner Together?” (저녁같이 드실래요). It’s adapted from the webcomic “Jeonyeok Kati Deusilraeyo?” by Park Shi In.

Starring alongside Song Seung Heon, Lee Ji Hoon, Son Na Eun, “Shall We Eat Dinner Together?” is about 2 strangers who get paired up by accident in a restaurant and start to develop a friendship soon after. The 32-episode series will debut on 31st May 2020.

As for Son Ye Jin, she will be appearing in an upcoming movie titled “Boston 1947” (보스턴 1947) which is based on a true story of “Korean athletes who ran the 1947 Boston International Marathon, the first international marathon held since World War II“. Directed by Kang Je Gyu, the 38-year-old beauty will be acting with Ha Jung Woo, Bae Sung Woo, Im Shi Wan. It is currently slated for release on 31st December 2020.

Although the 3 aforementioned South Korean stars will have their hands full on upcoming projects, no word yet if Kim Jung Hyun has anything up his sleeves.
