Cleopatra (real name Nur Fathiah Syazwana Shaharuddin) has caused a stir among the internet community once again.
The 25-year-old recently posted a video of herself preparing a dish on her Twitter account, much to the disapproval of local netizens.

“Cleo cooking CQT (Char kway teow). Intending of preparing the dish for the tahfiz (Islamic school) kids. Which school do you think is the best suggestion for me?” she wrote on the caption. The post has in turn received a massive amount of reaction among local Twitter users.
In this case, Cleopatra was heavily criticised for her lack of skills in cooking. Most of them have argued that Cleopatra has been using the wrong technique in stir-frying. For those who don’t know, the chilli paste should be cooked first prior to entering the shrimps.
Additionally, others started to point out other petty things such as the fact that Cleo was standing too far from the pan, not wearing an apron and tying her hair while cooking among others. On the other hand, one Twitter user known as @zizak_63 also started to suggest her to dress in an appropriate manner in order to meet the tahfiz students.

In response to the backlash, the director of Cleo International firm took to her Instagram this time to address the matter. She posted a selfie photo of her as well as the screenshot of the recent tweet, along with a caption that reads:
“Assalamualaikum. I am amazed by the amount of ‘Masterchefs’ on Twitter. Kindly watch the full video on my YouTube channel before slamming. Twitter has limited my post to only 2 minutes.”
She further added by writing, “For those who have criticised my style of cooking, I will be calling for 20 people for me to cook for you and judge yourself whether you will get stomachache or not.”Â
