For the past 56 years, A&W has been satisfying our hungry tummy with its signature menu that include burgers, coneys, waffles and its iconic root beer float!
We believe this proud achievement is not an easy feat. Therefore, to commemorate this record-breaking milestone, A&W Malaysia has launched the one-day special A&Wesome Festival to celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime occasion with fans of the food and beverage outlet.
According to the CEO of A&W Malaysia and Inter Mark Resources Sdn. Bhd (IMRSB), George Ang, the carnival aims to bring back good-old memories to loyal customers as well as offering high-quality and fresh menus to attract the younger generations.
“We believe we have the advantage among Malaysians who grew up in the 70s and 80s. In this case, they celebrate their birthdays with our mascot Rooty the Bear, they have at least one personal favourite menus, or they can even have a chilled and relaxing afternoon at our outlet after school to enjoy our iconic root beer float,” Ang shared during the launch.

However, Ang believes with the growth of social media platforms, it is important to for them to get familiar with the youths’ demands nowadays. In doing so, he came out with several strategies in order to win the hearts of the new millennials.
This includes the introduction of new menus, upgrades from their existing treats and services as well as plans to open more outlets by the year 2021.
Speaking of the A&Wesome Festival, the carnival has wowed fans of the fast food chain store. Jam-packed with various interesting activities such as arcade games, live music performances, movie screenings, visitors have no doubt been enjoying their best time at the festival while munching on A&W’s yummy delicacies!
