After a month long absence, Neelofa had finally made her long-awaited comeback as a host for the weekly live TV programme “MeleTOP”.

In the recent episode of the show, Lisa Surihani and Daphne Iking recently made their guest appearance to promote their latest Islamic TV show entitled “Girls Day In”.

Don’t we all look happy? Guess what?I had something else in my mind. First 2 pictures was the fourth and last interview/shoot we did to promote “Girls Day In” at @astromalaysia yesterday. We started with @mingguanwanita at 12noon, @zayan.my at 1pm, @astrogempak TV at 330pm and finally, @meletop at 9pm. By the time it was time to go on for Meletop, my body was crashing but I had drank my last sip of coffee (Thanks @ramzamode for ordering us caffeine!) to push us through the last leg. @lisasurihani always the pro, was feeling the fatigue kicking in too, but she held my hand as I was overwhelmed by the crowd at Meletop. My ambivert kicked in and I just wanted to leave and pop an aspirin. People think it’s easy doing what we do; chewing on every comment good or bad hurled at us. No one knew how affected Lisa and I were about the recent case we were reading on our advocacy child group chat. (Lisa and I work together on children’s rights, but this is the first time we’ve been assigned a TV job together). The news about the teacher who stapled the boy’s ear for not completing his homework really got to us. We tried to brush it aside for the cameras and radio, but it’s hard not to come back and dwell on it. I’m seeing a doctor today. Everyone should seek professional help when you’re hitting low and your health is not 💯. I’ve got 3 young children. Sorry. My messy thoughts are everywhere on this caption. Shoot me now. No don’t. Ok. Bye. Thanks @echolaliapictures for the Meletop pic. Good to see you. Don’t know how your “boss” does it. Flew back and straight to work. Tabik.

During the segment, the 2 guests touched on the topic of women’s rights. Neelofa then joined in the conversation by claiming that “a lot of married men are known to advantage by abusing their power as husbands against their wives.”

Daphne further added to her point by saying, “That’s why this show aims to educate women to get to know your rights and take that power back. Itu HAK anda.” Neelofa agreed with her sentiments by saying “Nabil (her co-host), my sister has to watch this show!”

Her response received lukewarm reaction from local netizens though. In this case, it looked kind of obvious that the “Suri Hati Mr. Pilot” actress was subtly referring to the ongoing issue between her sister, Noor Nabila and Sharnaaz Ahmad.

Most of them felt that Neelofa was being unprofessional by throwing unnecessary shade towards her brother-in-law. You can watch the full clip here:
