The long-awaited bridge connecting The Gardens Malls to the Abdullah Hukum LRT station will finally be open, within this month. The opening of the bridge would allow safer and easier access for people from Mid Valley Megamall and The Gardens Mall to the Abdullah Hukum station and vice versa.
Amy Ang, a Sales and Marketing Executive for KL Eco City Sdn Bhd, said that the bridge will be opened once IGB Berhad, the company responsible for the bridge, obtain the Certificate of Completion and Compliance (CCC).
Inspections and approvals are to be carried out by Kuala Lumpur City Hall and the Fire and Rescue Department to ensure that the structure complies with safety standards.
Currently, the only foot way to Abdullah Hukum from the Gardens Mall, is through an old bridge. To all the people using the bridge, they would also required to cross several road sections just to get to the other side. Many also opt to walk up a road ramp with no pedestrian walkway at the side.

This bridge will be especially helpful during rainy days. We don’t know about you but some of us are already counting down the days.
