Earlier in February this year, it was announced that Simon Cowell had pulled the plug on the “X Factor” UK.
Instead, 2 special editions of the show will take its place and one of it is going to be “X Factor: All Stars”. That’s right peeps, there’s going to be an all stars version!
Former judge Louis Walsh confirmed that at least 3 previous winners will be returning to the reality-singing competition to compete for the ultimate crown. It’s not known whether the “X Factor: All Stars” will only feature previous champions or a mixture of winners and finalist.
For those excited to know, the 3 winners that have been announced so far are Leona Lewis, Alexandra Burke and Shayne Ward. “All the winners are coming back. Leona’s coming back, Alexandra, Shayne, they’re all coming back,” Walsh told The Mirror UK.
As you may know, the 3 aforementioned winners won the singing competition more than a decade ago. Ward won the 2nd season in 2005, while Lewis took home the crown the following year. Who could forget Burke’s unforgettable duet of “Listen” with Beyonce in 2008?
Most of the earlier winners have gone on to establish themselves as mega superstars. Little Mix is arguably the most successful artist to emerge from the show. Aside from the girl group, the other winners could probably use this platform to revive their music careers once again.

Walsh is currently filming the celebrity version of “X Factor” with Cowell and Nicole Scherzinger. Once that is finished, they’ll start filming the all-stars version.
Other reality-singing competitions like “The Voice” and “American Idol” should probably do a similar version. There’s definitely an appetite to see former favourites on the small screen again.
