Oh no! Shortly after Dispatch revealed that iKON member B.I (김한빈) had allegedly tried to purchase drugs illegally, YG Entertainment swoop in and took swift action.
As a result, B.I (whose real name is Kim Han-bin)’s contract has been officially terminated by the powers that be.

The 22-year-old K-pop idol took to Instagram to announce his departure just moments ago. Read his full statement here:
“This is Kim Han Bin.
First, I would like to sincerely apologize for stirring up trouble due to my tremendously inappropriate actions.
It is true that I wanted to rely on something that I shouldn’t have had any interest in due to going through a hard and painful time. However, I was too scared and fearful to do it.
Even so, I am so ashamed and apologetic to fans who were greatly disappointed and hurt because of my wrong words and actions.
I intend to humbly self-reflect on my mistake and leave the team.
Once again, I bow my head down and sincerely apologise to fans and the members. I apologise.”

According to reports, the South Korean rapper was accused of purchasing Lysergic acid diethylamide (LSD) from a female dealer. She has since been apprehended for illegal drug dealings. During questioning, she admitted that she passed 10 pieces of LSD to B.I outside iKON’s dorm.
The hallucinogenic drug “may cause altered thoughts, feelings, and awareness of one’s surroundings. LSD does not appear to be addictive, although tolerance may occur with the use of increasing doses“.
Do you think iKON will still be performing in Kuala Lumpur following B.I’s scandal?
