Malaysia Airlines has been named the Best Airline in Asia at this year’s International Council of Pacific Area Travel Writers Association (PATWA) International Travel Awards at ITB Berlin.
The annual awards recognise individuals and organisations that have excelled in promoting tourism from different sectors of the travel trade such as aviation, hotels, travel agencies, tour operators, destinations, government bodies, tourism ministries, and others.
The PATWA have earned a reputation as one of the most coveted and sought after awards of the travel trade and are now in their 18th year since they were incepted in 1999.
Malaysia Airlines Group CEO Izham Ismail said the award is dedicated to its employees who focus on delivering a world-class travel experience for its passengers every day, Bernama reports.
“It is testament to our commitment to offering passengers a fantastic experience both in the air and on the ground,” he said in a statement.
As a way to express gratitude to its loyal customers, Malaysia Airlines will be offering 25% off on fares to selected destinations including Hong Kong, Phnom Penh and Sydney. The offer is valid until midnight 12th March 2019 for travel between now and 31st March 2019.
