Uh oh, did the winner’s list for 61st Annual Grammy Awards leaked? Not so fast.
Earlier today (Tuesday, 29th January), a few Twitter accounts (including Main Pop Data and everyday4you) claimed that some of the 2019 Grammy winners were allegedly released on the Recording Academy’s website.
These profiles posted a few tweets announcing the unverified winners. The list include Cardi B’s “I Like It” as Record of the Year, Lady Gaga’s song “Shallow” from “A Star Is Born” as Song of the Year, H.E.R.’s self-titled album as Album Of The Year, and more.
It didn’t take long before the Recording Academy was notified of this. Spokesperson Robert Kovacik tweeted out a statement, “There is no legitimacy to this. GRAMMY Awards results are not shared, even with Recording Academy staff members, until the day of the GRAMMY Awards ceremony, when names of the recipients are delivered by Deloitte in sealed envelopes.”

Winners of the 2019 #GRAMMYS have apparently been leaked through their official website, with the "Big 3" categories named to the following:
Record of the Year – I Like It
Album of the Year – H.E.R.
Song of the Year – Shallow (@ladygaga)Video:https://t.co/drbNZlW8x8

Truth be told, many of these “winners” don’t even make sense to us. Y’all should probably just take it with a grain of salt.
Hosted by Alicia Keys, the official 2019 Grammy winners will be announced on 10th February 2019.
