Singaporean actor Aloysius Pang (冯伟衷) has passed away on Wednesday night (23rd January) at the age of 28, after sustaining serious injuries while carrying out repair works inside a Singapore Self-Propelled Howitzer in New Zealand.
Singapore’s Ministry of Defence (Mindef) issued a statement last night confirming the actor’s death. “Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Operationally Ready National Serviceman, Corporal First Class (National Service) [CFC (NS)]Pang Wei Chong, Aloysius passed away at 2045hrs on 23 January 2019 (SG time) at Waikato Hospital, New Zealand.”
Many local celebrities expressed their grief and share their condolences on social media including Malaysian star Joyce Chu, who previously worked with Pang on “Young & Fabulous”.

Pang’s girlfriend and fellow MediaCorp artist Jayley Woo also took to social media to mourn the actor’s death.
“I couldn’t become your wife in this lifetime. In our next life, we must become husband and wife,” she wrote on her Instagram.
