Amber Heard is taking the “Aquaman” theme way too literally, but then again, she is probably the only person who can gracefully pull off a swimming cap and a gown together.
Heard, who plays DC Comics sea queen Mera in “Aquaman” proves that she isn’t afraid of bold fashion as she rocked a chic swim cap at the movie’s premiere in London on Monday, 26th November.
The actress stunned in a gorgeous green and gold Valentino gown and matching headpiece from Valentino’s Haute Couture collection that resembled a swim cap, channeling vintage synchronised water ballerinas and matching the movie’s aquatic theme.
The 32-year-old actress told ET Online that she “wanted to make a splash” with her costume, and she certainly did grab plenty of attention with her unique headpiece.

“You know I saw this dress walk down the red carpet in Paris at the Valentino Haute Couture show and I just, my jaw dropped and I looked over at my stylist who was sitting a few seats away and she just mouthed to me ‘Oh my god’ and I was like yes, I just knew. I mean I’m wearing a swim cap for god’s sake.”
Her dress certainly stood out amongst the crowd on its own, with a plunging neckline, cut out detailing, and long train, but it was her cap that grabbed the most attention.
Heard was joined by her co-star Jason Momoa, who plays the titular hero. The 39-year-old actor went casual for the evening, wearing a classic leather jacket, jeans and boots.
