Once a lovey-dovey couple, Pete Davidson and Ariana Grande are now on bad terms. That’s Hollywood for you.
The comedian recently made a joke about his high profile relationship on a new “Saturday Night Live” episode. This didn’t sit well with the pop star, who took to Twitter to throw some shade at her former beau. Luckily, we have the receipts in the form of screenshots by fans.
During a “Saturday Night Live” promo, Davidson is seen cheekily joking about the end of his engagement with musical guest Maggie Rogers. “Hey, Maggie. I’m Pete,” Davidson says in the clip. After she exchanges greetings, he asks, “Want to get married?” Looking uncomfortable, the singer turns down his offer. The comedian notes he’s “0 for 3”.
This apparently pissed off Grande. “For somebody who claims to hate relevancy (you) sure love clinging to it huh,” she wrote, adding, “Thank (you), next.” The shade in her now-deleted tweet was quite obvious. The pop vocalist also retweeted and liked one Twitter user who wrote, “SNL is about to milk their breakup just like they did with the engagement“.

Since Grande and Davidson broke up in early October after their 4-month engagement. After calling it quits, the 25-year-old songstress recently covered up 2 of their many matching tattoos.
Meanwhile, Davidson reportedly canceled 2 scheduled stand-up comedy show appearances and changed his phone number to “distance himself”. Word on the street has it that the former flames are not speaking to one another for the time being.
Will Davidson ever find anyone to marry him? It remains to be seen.
