From singing and songwriting to directing, Malaysian songstress Yuna can add another skill to her portfolio as she has now gotten behind the camera for the 1st time.
The Kedah-born singer has recently stepped into the director’s chair, helping singer-songwriter duo Hani & Zue to direct the music video of their 1st ever English single, “Alone”.

“I had the pleasure of directing this music video for 2 lovely girls from Kuala Lumpur Hani & Zue. I remember the 1st time I saw them perform, my heart was bursting with pride! Please listen to their latest single, ‘Alone’!” Yuna wrote on her Twitter.
Signed under Yuna Room Records, Hani (Hanisah Hasan) and Zue (Zuliana Eusoff) have known each other since the age of the 13 and have been performing together since their school days.

The hijabi duo signed to Yuna’s music label last year and has so far released 4 singles under their name; 3 Malay tracks (“Dan Kali Ini”, “Warna Warni Raya”, “Mulut Tempayan”) and 1 English track.
Seeing the vibrant music video, you can definitely feel Yuna’s aesthetic vibe there, from the angle to the outfit, style and location surrounding. Based on Yuna’s IG stories, the video shooting started back in August.
The music video features beautiful plains, deserts, and a place that looks like a bridge, but according to some fans, the video was actually shot at Klebang, Melaka.
