Asics Launches The New Street Style HyperGel-Sai & HyperGel-Kan

by Justin
September 28, 2018
Asics

Versatility and endurance – that’s what the new generation of movers and shakers covet for in a shoe. This is why we’re excited for Asics’ latest footwear.

Following the launch of HyperGel-Kenzen earlier this year, Asics will be debuting 2 new additions from the HyperGel series. We’re talking about the HyperGel-Sai and HyperGel-Kan. The new additions fuses vibrant street style with HyperGel midsole technology.

These days people want one shoe that can be used to do everything – from running for miles or just to hit the gym. Besides the futuristic look and fantastic GEL cushioning for extra comfort, the HyperGel midsole also offers 30% more bounce than your standard EVA.

What’s unique about the HyperGel series is the Japanese Kanji symbolic characters stamped at the heel patch. The symbols “mind” (left foot) and “body” (right foot) reflects Asics’ brand philosophy of “A Sound Mind in A Sound Body”.

“Asics is a global brand with a uniquely Japanese heritage – our business is a result of the ‘remix effect’ you get by bringing East and West together. In the spirit of remix, Asics HyperGel series was designed as bridge between sport and street cultures. HyperGel-Sai and HyperGel-Kan are ‘genre-less’ in that they’re adaptable and easily fit into either sport or street setting,” said series designer Takayuki Ueda.

Said to “reduce impact and preserves energy, allowing for improved comfort, endurance, and movement”, here are some facts about HyperGel-Sai and HyperGel-Kan:
