Is it ever easy to find the good in goodbyes? 3 months after splitting up with Brandon Flynn, Sam Smith is ready to talk about his recent heartbreak.
In speaking with The Times, the Grammy winner admitted that he hasn’t completely healed from his break up with the “13 Reasons Why” actor. He also shared that his busy career has taken a toll on his love life.
“I’m still trying to figure out what I took from that relationship and what it meant to me,” the 26-year-old British singer told the UK publication about 9-month courtship. “It’s still quite raw.”
Although the former flames unfollowed each other on Instagram, with Smith deleting all photos of Flynn, he insisted that there’s no bad blood between them. “Brandon was wonderful. All my relationships have ended in a nice way, never nasty,” he said.
For the “Too Good at Goodbyes” singer, dating is not in cards for the time being. “My life from the outside can seem glamorous, but the reality is that I am on tour every other year and I’m never home, and it’s public,” Smith shared before adding, “Right now, the thought of getting into a relationship is too much. I just want to marry my job, work really hard and hopefully, when I’m not looking for (love), it will come.”
Smith and Flynn were first spotted kissing in public in October 2017. However, it wasn’t until December that the pair made their relationship Instagram official.
