Malaysia Day weekend is right around the corner, and like Merdeka Day, this year’s occasion will be a special one as it marks the 1st year we celebrate the patriotic event under a new ruling.
Though the event is not widely celebrated like Merdeka Day, it is still a day worth commemorating as it marked the joining together of Malaya, North Borneo and Sarawak to form the Malaysia we know today.
So in conjunction with the Malaysia Day that’s happening this weekend, here are some fun, family-friendly patriotic events that you can join with your loved ones.
1. We Are Malaysians by Harith Iskander – The Joke Factory

2. Rise: Ini Kalilah
Catch the new patriotic-themed movie “Rise” Ini Kalilah” at the nearest cinemas and relive the historical moments together with your family and friends. 3. Proud to be Malaysian – Sunway Lagoon
