For those who didn’t know, Shopee Celebrity Squad is a dedicated in-app portal that offers a variety of celebrity brands, allowing users easy access to a curated collection of products sold by their favourite Malaysian celebrities.

“We launched Shopee Celebrity Squad to celebrate Malaysians’ love for local celebrities and for us to connect with our users more meaningfully. We are thrilled to be able to introduce five more beloved local stars to our community so quickly, reaching double figures in just ten short weeks,” said Ian Ho, Regional Managing Director of Shopee.

“Shopee Celebrity Squad is growing faster than expected and Malaysians can look forward to more as Shopee continues to connect locals with their favourite homegrown celebrities while helping celebrities grow their brand sales.”

Back in May, Shopee Malaysia introduced its 1st batch of Shopee Celebrity Squad namely:-

  • Dato’ Sri Siti Nurhaliza Tarudin, Malaysia’s top singer, with her skincare and cosmetics line, SimplySiti
  • Nora Danish with her brand Owl, which offers a modern twist to traditional Muslim fashion
  • Izara Aishah, the much-loved actress with her lip wear brand, Madame Izara on Shopee
  • Elfira Loy, star of hit drama “Separuh Jiwaku”, and Heliza Helmi, “Akademi Fantasia Season 5” finalist, with their brand EL and Heliza Guzel Hive – selling traditional Muslim clothing
  • Emma Maembong a multi-talented actress and model with her skincare line, EMBS

Now, let’s have a look at the local branded goods offered by the 5 new members of Shopee Celebrity Squad.

1. DNA By Dynas

Stands for Dynas Nursing Attire, Dynas Mokhtar who is a mother, wife, model, actress, and a celebrity – has always been passionate about fashion and breastfeeding advocacy. The brand started when Dynas was pregnant with her firstborn and she struggled to find a nursing friendly attire which allows her to breastfeed in public. That’s when she began to design high-quality maternity and breastfeeding wear entirely from scratch. DNA aims to bring comfort, flexibility and convenient to mothers who needed to breastfeed in public discreetly but in style at the same time.

2. MIKASERIES

Even though he is only in his early 30s, actor-model Zoey Rahman can easily pass off as a 18-year-old lad. With many fans questioning his Forever 18 looks, Zoey decided to share the tips and tricks on how he preserves and maintains his youthful appearance, hence the birth of MIKASERIES, a range of beauty and makeup products suitable for both men and women, and is also Zoey’s secret to a healthier lifestyle.

3. Pinkypinky

As a singer and actress, Siti Sarah understands the struggle of working women who needed to maintain their daily appearance and also confidence as the stress and pressure from work can seriously reflect on a person’s complexion. This is why, Siti Sarah created Pinkypinky, a skincare product brand that focuses on helping working women to maintain their skin health and fair complexion. All of Pinkypinky products are made of natural ingredients and have been certified and approved by the Islamic Religious Department.

4. Bee Factory by Shuib Sepahtu

According to the “Maharaja Lawak” champion, since he is not allowed to “bermadu” (which means be in a polygamous marriage), he decides to sell “madu” (honey) instead. Shuib Sepahtu’s Bee Factory is 100% pure honey made from natural honeycomb. It is also the 1st honeycomb brand that is commercialised on local television. To ensure high quality standards, Bee Factory’s honey uses Australian native bees and nesting technology, and its product are certified by the Islamic Religious Department.

Being a modest Muslim woman, actress Ummi Nazeera aims to make “Ibadah” (means worship in Islam religion) easier and comfortable for Muslim ladies. Her brand Nazeera offers a wide variety of Muslim fashion products from hijab to scarf and telekung (Muslim women prayer attire).
