This year’s birthday celebration has been extra special for Stefanie Sun Yanzi (孫燕姿).
The Singaporean Mandopop singer gave birth to her 2nd child – a baby girl – just 2 days after celebrating her 40th birthday on 23rd July. The tiny tot was born on 25th July at Thomson Medical Centre and weighs 2.79kg.
The entertainer took to Facebook to share 2 photos earlier today (Monday, 30th July), including cute drawing – presumably by her son, who is 5½ – showing her new family of 4. “Nadim (her husband) and I welcome our newest and youngest female family member – yes, the one whose existence was discovered at our busiest!” Sun wrote.
She added, “Baby girl’s current status: Checking out a whole new world. Parents’ current status: Checking out a whole new girl. Mama’s current status: Hungry. Overall summary: Mother and baby are fine and in good health.”
Music companies Make/Music and Universal Music Group released a joint statement, asking fans to give the mum and her family some privacy. The statement reads: “Nadim accompanied Yanzi throughout the delivery and both mother and baby are doing great. Thank you all for your concern and well wishes. We would also appreciate if fans and media alike can give Yanzi and her family the privacy they enjoy.”
Sun tied the knot with Dutch-Indonesian businessman Nadim van der Ros back in March 2011. They welcomed their 1st child – a boy – in October 2012.
