No one foresaw the success of “Along With The Gods: The Two Worlds”.
The movie, which was released in February, not only became the 2nd biggest box office hit in Korean film history, but was a massive hit in South East Asian countries – including Malaysia.

The movie tugged on the heartstrings of moviegoers, using the simple themes of family and love to tell the story of firefighter Kim Jahong.
A sequel, titled “Along With The Gods: The Last 49 Days”, will be out soon, and now, the executive producer has confirmed that there will be 2 more movies in the series.
CEO Won Dongyeon of Realies Pictures said, “After finishing the scenario by the end of this year, we are planning to concurrently film the 3rd and 4th films at the end of next year like (we did for) the first and 2nd films.”
The movies are currently in the pre-production stage, with the team considering the possibility of a prequel of spin-off. However, unlike the first 2 films which was based on a webtoon, the 3rd and 4th installments will be original stories. Kim Yonghwa, who helmed the first 2 films, will be directing the 3rd and 4th films too.

“Along With The Gods: The Last 49 Days” will be premiering in local cinemas on 23rd August.
It will be about the grim reapers who are facing their final 49th trial. They’ll meet a god who remembers 1,000 years of the past and will help them to find the forgotten secrets of their past, current, and future lives.
