What royal wedding? This is the only wedding we’ve been waiting for! Winter may be coming but Kit Harington and Rose Leslie’s nuptials are here.
The “Game of Thrones” co-stars are now officially husband and wife. The newlyweds got married at Kirkton of Rayne church in Scotland. The couple, both 31, met in 2012 on the set of the HBO fantasy series, played Jon Snow and Ygritte respectively.
The bride was all smiles when she arrived with her father Sebastian Leslie. Leslie was clad in a long sleeve stunning ivory lace wedding dress with floral appliques, a white flower crown and cathedral veil. She also carried a bouquet of white roses. The handsome groom, on the other hand, opted for a long black jacket over a cream vest, white shirt, black tie and grey pinstriped pants.
Speaking outside the castle, Leslie’s dad, Sebastian, said: “We are absolutely thrilled for Kit and Rose to be marrying today. It’s an absolutely lovely day for us. It’s a great day for Aberdeenshire. We are using local caterers, local lighting, local flowers.”

Guests at the wedding included “Game of Thrones” stars Peter Dinklage, Maisie Williams, Sophie Turner and Emilia Clarke. Turner, who is engaged to singer Joe Jonas, wore a red suit dress with a pair of over-the-knee length black boots to the happy occasion. Williams, 21, opted for a more low-key look and wore a black jumpsuit with a pair of red heels.
Other guests spotted at the castle included Marcus Mumford of Mumford & Sons and his brother Jason Mumford as well as actress Malin Ackerman and her fiance Jack Donnelly.
Last October, Harington admitted that his proposal didn’t quite go according to plan. “I did have some plans to do it, I was going to string up some lights in some trees and do all the romantic stuff, but we were in the country and we were under this beautiful night sky and had a log fire burning and red wine and I blew my load early,” he said before laughing at the sexual insinuation. “Sorry, that’s a really bad expression!”
