Something exciting is happening this Christmas y’all. Is it a “One Tree Hill” revival?
Former costars from the series – Hilarie Burton (Peyton Sawyer), Danneel Ackles (Rachel Gatina), Robert Buckley (Clay Evans), and Antwon Tanner (Antwon “Skills” Taylor) – took to Instagram yesterday (Monday, 11th June) to tease fans.
Each of the aforementioned stars posted selfies to announce that they were collaborating on a “new project”. So what is this special project? That is still a mystery. Having said that, it’s worth noting that the actors involved included the hashtag #Christmas2018. This hint implies that fans can expect the reveal by this December. Meanwhile, the photos have since been deleted.
Last November, more than 15 members from the “One Tree Hill” gang got together to signed an open letter – accusing series creator Mark Schwahn of sexual misconduct. “One Tree Hill” ran for 9 seasons, between 2003 to 2012. It told the story of 2 half-brothers but the storyline ultimately evolved into something much larger.
Now everybody stay off Santa’s naughty list. Maybe we’ll get a revival movie as a reward ;)
UPDATE (14th June):
The mystery project has finally been revealed!

“One Tree Hill” stars Danneel Ackles, Hilarie Burton, Robert Buckley, and Antwon Tanner are reuniting for the Lifetime holiday flick “The Christmas Contract”. Tyler Hilton will also come onboard for a musical appearance.
Written by Cassie Doyle and directed by Monika Mitchell, the synopsis for “The Christmas Contract” reads:
“It’s Jolie’s (Burton) first time going back home to Louisiana since her devastating break up with Foster (Burke). Seeing him is inevitable as their parents run the town’s annual Christmas Market together, but when she discovers Foster is bringing home a new girlfriend, Jolie cannot bear the thought of going home alone and seeing them together. Her best friend Naomi (Ackles) suggests that Jolie bring her flaky brother, Jack (Buckley), home for Christmas as he has no plans this year.
“Jolie, a professional web designer, is hesitant; so, Naomi, a lawyer, creates a Christmas contract to give them both something they want—a buffer for those awkward moments around Jolie’s ex and a website to help sell Jack’s upcoming novel. Unbeknownst to them, the Christmas contract proves to be so much more than what they signed up for.”
The film also stars Jordan Ladd, Cheryl Ladd, Bruce Boxleitner, Jason London, Teri Wyble, and Ritchie Montgomery.
