2PM’s Jun.K is reportedly suffering from focial nerve paralysis.

According to news outlet Sport Kyunghyang, the singer developed facial nerve paralysis in the lower right side of his face. The symptoms began to surface in his chin during his military service training and it worsened shortly afterwards.

His agency JYP Entertainment has also released an official statement in respond to the issue. They said, “Because this incident occurred within the military, it’s currently difficult even for us to confirm the situation. Once we are able to confirm (what happened), we will let you know.”


The 2PM member reportedly underwent facial surgery in April, before his military enlistment. However, it is unclear if his facial nerve paralysis developed as a result of his surgery or is a result of a new injury that happened during his military training.

He is also unable to return to the hospital to receive recovery treatment and will be receiving aid from the military hospital. The singer will continue his basic training while undergoing treatment.

Jun.K is currently completing his military training at a recruit training center in Gangwon Province. The 30-year-old enlisted quietly on 8th May.
