It’s not complicated – fans have been wanting some new music for the longest time and Avril Lavigne is to make her anticipated comeback.
The 33-year-old singer recently made her first red carpet appearance in 2 years when she showed up at 25th Annual Race to Erase MS Gala at Beverly Hills. Naturally, many folks were interested to find out what she has been up to since the release of her 5th LP back in 2013 and her battle with Lyme disease.

In speaking with E! News, the pop punk princess shared, “It’s a really powerful record. I’ve been working on this for three years. I can actually say this time I’m going to be done with this album in two weeks, and I will put it out this year.”
“I’ve been writing songs that are really just powerful and true and honest and sincere and I think people will really be able to relate to it. I’ve gone through a lot of personal stuff in the past two years, and so I’ve really drawn from that. I mean, I always do, but this album is so different,” she added.
