The sexual harassment case against SHINee’s Onew has been dismissed, reported South Korean news media Sports Donga.
An insider revealed that the idol singer was cleared of all charges by prosecution. A SM Entertainment representative also confirmed the statement.

He was previously accused of sexual harassment on 12th August, when a woman claimed that the star touched a part of her body 3 times while they were dancing in a club in Gangnam. An acquaintance of the victim lodged a police report, after which Onew was arrested and investigated for 5 hours.
A witness also came forward to testify that the singer appeared to have grabbed the victim’s leg as support because he seemed too drunk to stand properly.
After the incident, SM Entertainment explained that Onew unintentionally came into physical contact with those around him due to his intoxicated state. The victim was revealed to have dropped all charges against the idol member, but police still forwarded the case to prosecution for indictment without detention.

The past year has been tough for SHINee and Shawols, with Onew’s sexual harassment case and Jonghyun’s death. However, the idol group is set to release their Japanese album ‘From Now On‘ in mid-April, and we hope that only good things come their way in the future.
